Resist corrosion, extend service life, enhance safety and reliability

Trusses, beams and braces are a few examples of structural steel utilized in building construction. These components need to be protected against corrosion that can crop up due to atmospheric conditions or chemicals used in processes within the structure.

Our product range includes:

• Ertech 2010, an asphaltic emulsion that provides good corrosion protection at a very effective price point. Good wet film build can be achieved and the cured film can withstand temperatures up to 300ºF.
• Ertech 3037, which is a polymer modified asphaltic emulsion that provides a tough and elastic membrane, which is waterproof. The cured film also has good chemical resistance.
• Novocoat RI80, a “surface tolerant” primer/coating that can be applied over marginally prepared surfaces, light rust and damp surfaces, to stop rust in its tracks. No finish coat is necessary. Available in gray and safety yellow.
• Novocoat SP2000, an excellent high-performance finish coat that provides good chemical and abrasion resistance and is available in a variety of colors.
• Blackhawk 5157, which is a cutback asphalt utilizing a hard, durable and abrasion-resistant base asphalt. Thin 5 DFT coating of this material can add years of life to structural steel I-beams and trusses.
• Blackhawk 5200, which is a thicker version of 5157 that can build thicker dry films up to 30 mils. It has an increased gel structure making the material apply thicker, adding sound deadening properties and increased durability.
